Once you have the fish sliced then take a tablespoon of olive oil and place a slice of beef on each piece of paper. Place the cut side of each piece of meat under the paper so it is covered.
After that you need to wrap a slice of onion around the fish about an inch from the fish and then set the lid on top of the fish and the crockpot lid. You can steam your fish if you’d like. Just remember to set the steam setting to high because the fish will cook for about four hours.

When the time is up, remove the fish and pieces of onion and set them on a baking sheet to finish cooling down. You can now take the crockpot out of the refrigerator and try to open the lid but it’s too hard. So I suggest you just leave it inside the refrigerator until it’s time to serve.
Then sprinkle the fish with a small amount of salt and set it aside for five minutes before you turn it onto its side to allow the salt to penetrate the meat. Remember that the larger the fish the longer it will take to come back out.
